Mike provides lectures and presentations to clubs and societies.  He can travel to your venue and each session runs for approximately 120 minutes.  Details of the presentations are provided below:

Presentation:

"TIP OF THE ICEBERG"

This truly is a trip of a lifetime. I have visited the Falkland Islands on four occasions and each time I have found new images that I have included in this presentation. Also included are images while travelling further south to South Georgia and the Antarctica Peninsula where the views are totally stunning.

Species include Carcara (2 types), Albatross (3 types), Fur Seals, Elephant Seals, Leopard Seals, Penguin (6 species), together with Icebergs and Shackleton's Grave.

"WINTER IN YELLOWSTONE"

I have had the good fortune to have visited Yellowstone in winter on four occasions to-date. Yellowstone is a truly magical place - a winter wonderland - geysers and hot springs with low temperatures creating wonderful atmospheric photographic opportunities.

Also, there are animals such as Bison, Elk, Mule Deer, Bighorn Sheep, Coyote and Wolf together with Trumpeter Swans and Bald Eagles. This makes for a truly wonderful spectacle.

"AROUND THE WORLD IN 120 MINUTES"

Over the past 15 years I have been able to visit many points on the globe searching for photographic opportunities to capture nature in it's raw and natural environment. This has often led to many a scary or humorous moment which I will share with you within the presentation.

With subjects including birds, mammals, landscapes and seascapes, here I will show you my favourite images from Norway, Japan, America, Scotland, Falklands, Hungary, Wales, The Outer Hebrides and many other places in the UK.

"BEHIND THE IMAGE - The making of a nature image

What makes an interesting nature image? How is it conceived? How is it executed?

This presentation will show the background to the making of such an image, previsualisation, how to take control of your thoughts and make YOUR image. I will take you through the process, tools of the trade, planning, what is required, execution to the final image.

This lecture will be of benefit for those wishing to take control of their photography. You'll learn how to take YOUR image, the one that YOU have previsualised.
